Dinner En Blanc 2025
Project type
Dinner Dn Blanc
Date
09/2025
Location
Wilmington, DE
As a first timer I shuffled around for days gathering odds and ends I would need for an unexpected night of adventure. It never occurred to me how many white items I DIDN'T own. It's a delicate magic preserving the tradition of Dinner En Blanc. Everything must be white, must have glass plates, silver or gold flatware, glass drink ware must wear all white and table decor must match the current year's theme, Elegance in Bloom. I attended as a guest at Gregory Jervey's table with my aunt in tow as my plus one. We met at a random location only disclosed the day of the event. From there we walked in groups to the secret location in the heart of Wilmington Delaware. As we turned the corner the first thing I saw were giant white letters with lights in them spelling Dinner En Blanc. As we proceeded there were tables draped in white cloth waiting our items of imagine. We found our appropriate seats and began setting the table. As I looked around I could barely lay my table settings and decorations from my eyes dancing around at all the attractions. It was like candy to the eyes. After setting the table we kicked the night off with a traditional white napkin wave for the drone shot. As we cheered from a sea of white our voices sang of an alarm to all in earshot that tonight was going to be a party that no-one could forget. Dinner En Blanc is a picnic where network, dance and break bread in fellowship in a night of wonder and joy. For dinner I packed fresh fruit, meat cheese, chocolates, salad, wine, and dinner from Longhorn Steakhouse. After eating I couldn't sit still. I was elated with all the moments to capture. From corner to corner there were aerialist, juggling artists, ballerinas, photo ops, Cabernet Candles perfume bar, photographers, Cocktails By Loretta mobile bar, a bouncy house, a live band that kept everyone moving ALL NIGHT and photographers everywhere. I was one of them and these are my memories.
